Dragon Fruit Blueberry Smoothie
Playing with your food is the best part of cooking. It keeps your creative juices flowing and opens you up to inspiration. This recipe was born from playing with what I had in my freezer. The color adds to its deliciousness and healing properties*. Frozen dragon fruit can be found at certain Sams and Costo. I almost always have frozen bananas and blueberries on hand. I wanted something “different” and refreshing, without any added sugar. I used medjool dates for the sweetness. I think it’s perfect as is, but If you like things even sweeter, you can always add 1-2 Tbsp of pure maple syrup.
*Did you know that each color has its own healing energy? Blue carries peace and purity. Purple represents intuition and connection to divinity. I could teach a whole class on it! Let me know if that would interest you!
